Arthur D. Little appoints three new Partners

Ben van der Schaaf, Carlo Stella and Lars Riegel elected to Partner by Partnership Committee.

Arthur D. Little (ADL), today announced three new Partners across its global business, all internal promotions, following an assessment by the Partnership Committee. 

After joining ADL in late 2015, Ben van der Schaaf has been promoted to Partner in ADL’s Healthcare and Life Sciences Practice in the USA, where he will continue to focus on Pharmaceuticals. Ben has been a major contributor to the development of ADL’s Life Sciences Practice in the USA securing key accounts and an impressive pipeline for 2020. Ben’s recipe for success relies on a combination of extensive knowledge of the pharma industry and excellent experience and track record in managing complex transformational cases. Previously, Ben worked at PA Consulting for 14 years. He holds an undergraduate degree in Accounting and Auditing from Nyenrode University, Holland and an MBA from the University of Maine, USA.

Carlo Stella has been promoted to Partner in ADL’s Energy and Utilities Practice in the Middle East, after being with the firm for over 15 years, Originally based in Italy, Carlo relocated to Dubai seven years ago where he has been instrumental in supporting the development of strong and successful client relationships, leading to significant revenue generation. Carlo has many years of experience working across the energy and utilities industry including network management, utilities contribution to national fiber development and waste management. Carlo holds two master’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois, Chicago and from the Politecnico di Torino, Turin. 

Lars Riegel joined ADL’s Vienna Office in 2008 and has been promoted to Partner in ADL’s TIME Practice in Austria. Lars has been very successful at autonomously managing multiple client relationships in recent years with significant business impact contributions. He has demonstrated solid entrepreneurship and capacity to develop a strong business platform in the areas of transaction support and deal making as well as TMT infrastructure financing in Europe. He has also been very active in ADL’s work on 5G and smart cities. Lars earned an undergraduate degree from Philipps-University Marburg, Germany, an MBA from WU Vienna, and a master’s in International Business and Macroeconomics from ESSEC and WU Vienna.
